Anima. In Latin, the word means breath, soul, the living force that animates us — the spark that makes a body alive. ANIMA took that single word as its starting point and followed it inward.
Through performance, Davide Guerriero traced the evolution of the spirit: the quiet journey every soul makes between its two selves. The shadow self — the parts we keep hidden, deny, or fear — and the higher self — the wisdom, light, and wholeness waiting beneath them. ANIMA held space for both, honoring the truth that one cannot exist without the other.
Beginning at the very beginning, when there was “only silence,” the piece moved through darkness and light, descent and return, toward the possibility of integration: not choosing one self over the other, but learning to hold them as one.
