What happens when you give grown-ups permission to play?
Capes & Cakes was a joyful collaboration led by artist Elena Beale and Julia Stewart, where textile art, printmaking, and baking came together in pure creative delight.

Participants painted antique cotton with clay slip, stamped their designs using fruits and vegetables, and hand-sewed their very own capes. In the final session, we baked and decorated whimsical cakes — because every good adventure deserves a celebration.
It all culminated at the Vamos a Ver exhibition, a toast to creativity, community, and play: draped in handmade capes, sharing homemade cake, and sipping cava.
