The Internal Journey
MINCA’s lab is an opportunity for greater self-understanding. Using our 4M Methodology: Mindfulness, Movement, Making, and Meaning, you’ll explore challenging themes:
Presence and stillness
Control and perfectionism
Boundaries and comfort zones
Self-awareness and self-acceptance
The Collective Journey
Throughout the program, you're also invited to learn from your peers, while sharing and listening to various perspectives. You’ll support each other by serving as a mirror to each other’s growth journey, while building a portfolio and co-creating a group exhibition.

Course structure
Over 8 structured sessions, we guide you through an intentional, three-phase arc that moves from deep internal awareness and experimentation to shared, public expression.:
-
The foundation of our program begins with stillness and silence, allowing you to explore your relationship to presence and nonverbal trust.
We then explore what happens when we move from silence into creation. Through expressive drawing and movement, participants explore pressure, uncertainty, and chaos to discover equilibrium and address the dynamics of control.
-
Sessions explore personal identity, what it means to be seen, and how we show up together in the collective. We dedicate time to play, risk, and using "ugly" art to dissolve perfectionism and fear. The phase closes with ritualized reflection, honoring the journey, growth, and vulnerability that has emerged.
-
The final phase shifts the focus from internal work to external presentation. These two sessions are dedicated to the co-creative design of the Final Exhibition.
Participants work together to decide on the theme, choose mediums, and arrange their individual and collective pieces into a unified exhibition vision, culminating in a public group show.
Who Is This For?
This Lab is for Those Ready for a Deeper Commitment, who are ready to invest in their creative practice and self-development.
Art as Self-Discovery: You view art as a tool for deeper self-awareness. You need a safe space and a structured process to reflect on your feelings, emotions, and aspirations, leading to honest insights and authentic creation.
The Creative Inertia: You have the desire to make things, but you are currently stuck in a creative rut. You need the multidisciplinary challenge and the motivation of a co-creative community to find genuine flow.
The Power of Collaboration: You might have a solo practice, but you are curious about what co-creation can teach you. You are motivated by the idea of building community and mounting a public group exhibition with others.
Beyond Single-Modality: You've tried one-off classes (like Yoga or Ceramics) but you are seeking an interdisciplinary, experiential practice that truly connects the mind and body (our 4M Methodology).
