SEASONAL TAI CHI COURSE
WINTER
Move with the season.
Support your wellbeing.
Gentle Tai Chi warmup routines, Traditional Chinese Medicine insights, and practical guidance to help you feel more rested, grounded, and replenished through winter.
A Seasonal Practice for Balance and Vitality
Winter is a time to slow down, conserve energy and replenish our reserves. This course combines six Tai Chi warmup routines with seasonal wisdom from Traditional Chinese Medicine to support your body, nourish your energy, and feel your best during the colder months.
“In the three months of winter, this is the time of closing and storing. Sleep early and rise late, wait for the sunlight. Avoid cold and seek warmth, and do not let the skin sweat, which depletes the Qi. This is the way of nourishing storage.”
— Huangdi Neijing (The Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic)
Beyond movement
The inspiration for this course
This course offers a simple, practical entry point into Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
While my initial interest was in Tai Chi as a movement practice, my curiosity gradually expanded to the philosophy and principles surrounding it: the broader framework of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
What draws me to TCM is the way it recognizes the relationship between our inner world, the natural environment, and the changing seasons, and how this can inform the way we care for ourselves.
This course is an opportunity to explore these ideas in a practical way, discovering how a seasonal approach to well-being can inform the small choices we make in everyday life.

ABOUT YOUR GUIDE
Hi, I’m Julia
I'm Julia, the founder of MINCA — As an educator, artist, and experience designer, I’ve spent the last 15 years crafting learning experiences around creativity, personal growth, and well-being.
Movement has always been a lifelong love of mine. I'm a certified Sivananda Yoga instructor, a certified Thai masseuse, and a former three-sport varsity athlete. Over the years, I've explored everything from gymnastics and dance to strength training, swimming, tennis, skiing, and now Tai Chi.
My curiosity about Tai Chi led me to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), whose principles I'm currently studying independently. I'm fascinated by its perspective on the relationship between our inner world, the natural environment, and the changing seasons, and how this can inform the way we care for ourselves.
Through this course, I want to make these principles accessible in a practical, everyday way — exploring how we can bring a little more awareness to how we move, eat, rest, and live in rhythm with the seasons.
I'm excited to share what I'm learning with you.
Let's explore the season together!
Support your body. Honor the season. Find your balance.
